Top Rated Government Auction Sites!

Every year the government seizes billions of dollars worth of cars, SUVs, trucks, motorcycles, boats, jewelry, designer clothes, homes and property from loan defaults or tax evaders. Since it costs the government a ton to store these items, they must sell these items as quickly as possible and for prices way below their market price - usually between 50 to 90% off retail prices!

One way that the government liquidates their inventory is to sell these items at Government Auctions for almost next to nothing! Unfortunately, most people don't know how to locate and access these auctions. The best resource you can use to find out the locations of government auctions is websites that provide you with a database of auctions all over the country. Unfortunately, we have found over 90% of these sites are scams, since they claim to have the best government auctions listings but most do not deliver what they promise. The issues with these sites are that many have outdated databases, incorrect information, and very poor customer service if any.

When you do find a quality site it can help save you thousands of dollars by giving you the edge you need to find the best auctions. These sites will provide you information on all kinds of amazing deals on forfeited property, jewelry, homes, and cars. In addition, many these websites will give you the inside scoop on unadvertised online auctions!

Our expert staff has personally reviewed hundreds of auction sites. We have also spoken to the site owners, their clients, workers, and have attended their auctions. The following sites are the ones that we found to be the absolute best. They are great sources for quality auction information in all 50 states while providing you with great customer service, the most current and comprehensive databases, and a 100% money back guarantee.

How Do Government
Auctions Work?
  1. Various federal, state, and local government and law enforcement regularly seize autos, jewelry, real estate and other goods.
  2. The seized property is inspected to determine the starting auction price.
  3. The property is put up for auction. Note: For car auctions there may be a preview period of up to two days preceding the auction. This allows potential buyers to inspect the car before bidding on it and determine value through Edmunds or run the VIN through CarFax.
  4. The property is then bought through a competitive bidding process.
Government Auction Guidelines:
Recommended by the FTC
  1. Know exactly what you are bidding on. Good research is the key to a good investment.
  2. Try to determine the relative value of the item before you bid.
  3. Understand seized vehicles are rarely sold at the bargain prices promised by many auction guide advertisements.
  4. Check the name and location of the company with your local Better Business Bureau ( before buying.
  5. Use your credit card to pay for an auction guide, because it offers greater protections than other forms of payment if you seek a refund.
  6. Establish a top price and stick to it. Don't bid on an item that you do not intend to buy. If you are the highest bidder you are obligated to follow through with the transaction.
  7. Make sure you review any return policy there may be. Many times auction items are sold "as is".
  8. Save all transaction information for at least 90 days.
